Pop Up Restaurant on Swiss – Why Not! (Update)

Dining in Swiss First Class

Swiss International Air Lines

Renowned three Michelin starred chef, Andreas Caminada from Switzerland’s famous restaurant Schloss Schauenstein is setting up shop on an airplane.

Swiss International Air Lines (IATA Airline Code: LX) produced a website announcing the partnership with the chef on September 29, 2014.  The chosen one -off flight would be LX 16 from Zurich (ZRH) to New York City (JFK) on November 21, 2014.  The great news is that all passengers on this flight would be able enjoy this unique experience.

Meal Service as a Marketing Tool

Meal service has been used effectively as a marketing tool for airlines. SWISS is generating a lot of publicity by introducing a Michelin starred chef to create an experience on board for all passengers on this special flight to Newark Liberty International Airport.

SWISS should monitor the success of this experience and perhaps work with Tourism Switzerland in creating a program that would feature more local chefs.
